So something struck me after the season ending.
Disappointment.
I simply realized two things:
1. beat up concept of zombies. Seriously? So OK, they do conquer the world (well, we all know at the end Superman will show and save it) and THEN WHAT? What is the point?
2. Incest? Again? Jon sleeping with his sister? How beat up is that? How much of cliche?
besides, how come he is not an albino? Sort of silly. Targarians are albinos yet Jon is brunet and Barotians are all brunets and Joffrey was blond. Are people in Westeros sort of dumb or something?

For the second. Book stuff. There were various Targaryens who didn't have the silver blonde hair and purple eyes, especially if one of the parents was not related to the family. Such as a Stark or Martell. Jon's mother was in the former family.

Mmmm Dany isn't Jon's sister but aunt. AND Targarians aren't albinos!

Well I just finished the final two episodes and was floored. I nor most fans did not predict the Night King to be the third dragon rider, nor for the wall to go the way it did. Poor Turmund, what a way to go. At least Littlefinger died an appropriately humiliating death...proud of the Stark girls for that one.

That group coming from Dragonstone better paddle like mad...

Eh, reading through the recent posts...

It's been so long since we saw Bran control anyone, but did he inhabit anyone else but Hodor? Human or animal? The Bran as Night King theory seems too far fetched, but I wonder if he won't be able to warg into a pivotal being at the apex of the story, even the dead dragon (which is Visarian, I'm assuming). It could also be the Children work through Bran to fight the Night King (or even control him, since he was their creation), since the last three eyed raven was "theirs".

Also, Robert Baratheon isn't Joffrey's father. Joffrey's parents are Cersie and Jaime Lannister.

It has been a long time. But some people think that was a significant scene with implications for the future since GRRM told the showrunners to put it in.

“It was just one of the saddest and most affecting things,” executive producer D.B. Weiss told IGN, recounting the moment that he learned about the origins of Hodor’s name from Martin. While it’s possible that the author will have a change of heart and perhaps allow Hodor to live in the books, the idea for that scene was one of the guiding points that Martin gave to Game of Thrones‘ showrunners to help them plan out future seasons.
Game of Thrones: 'Hold the Door' Moment Came From George R.R. Martin's Notes

So I guess the question is why was the scene with Hodor in any way significant? In an immediate sense, it helped Bran and Meera escape certain death, yes. But why would the "hold the door" scene be a guiding point for future seasons?

Guess we'll just have to wait for Future seasons to find out.

I tend to question your powers of observation.
1. They are just tools of the Walkers.
2. She's not his sister.
and the whole thing of Joffrey's parentage has been covered to death.
Not even touching that last question.
