The first few eps of the season are always a bit slow. It's the exposition phase of the classic story structure, which the show-runners seem to stick to pretty religiously. I don't mind, gives me more time to admire the costuming and sets, which are amazing.

Wow--tonights episode..

Spoiler
Great to see the Queen of thorns having a great conversation with the Queen of dragons. I am really disapointed in Theon jumping into the sea instead of trying to save his sister from certain death. The sand vipers were all killed way to easily

Holy sh*t. Was NOT expecting that ending. The first 3/4 of the episode was pretty slow so I figured it was another plot development epi.

Can't believe Theon punked out like that, but I'm assuming there's a reason he's still alive. Maybe he'll redeem himself somehow.

Loved the conversation with Lady O and Dany. Hope Dany starts taking her advice. She sure as hell should've listened to Yara when Yara said to sack King's Landing before the Lannisters had the chance to assemble all their forces. Now they just lost a crap ton of ships and men.

Not sure how Arya had no clue Jon had reclaimed Winterfell. She's been roaming the Riverlands for months. Surely it came up during one of Walder Frey's feasts.

All the mashups tonight were incredible. We're starting to see different groups get together that would have seemed implausible just a couple seasons ago.

Hot Pie!! And Arya turned north.

I know! To go and find Jon, but he's now heading out to see Daenerys.

Hmmm, but I wonder what Arya is going to do when she sees Littlefinger? I hope she kills the little turd.

I don't think Littlefinger will die any time soon. Without him and with Jon gone, Winterfell is one big pile of boring. There needs to be some conflict to make Sansa interesting, and LF slithering around and whispering in her ear is one way to do it.

I'm sorry, but I don't trust Sansa. She is going to be doing something that is totally selfish and self centered for her own interests, and I bet one of the first things is she is going to have a power play between her and Lady Mormont. She's also a snob, and I see her pulling a Cersei by trying to push out the Wildings from Winterfell. She's not a good person. She's greedy, self centered and stuck up. And she has already undermined Jon a couple of times, simply because I think she feels she should be the rightful heir as lord of Winterfell.

Yeah.

I see none of that about her, past, present, or future.

Sansa is either greedy, or she's laying a trap for Littlefinger.

If she's as smart as she thinks she is, I could see her feigning a little resentment towards Jon in an effort to lure Littlefinger out of his shell and declare his true intentions. Once LF shows his hand, Sansa can lean in a little and make LF think she's on his side before twisting the dagger in his heart.

The conflict has to happen at some point as I just don't see him having a place at the table when the big battle with the White Walkers begins. He'll be killed by someone during the 'Cersei vs. The World' war.

That someone is probably going to be Arya, since it looks like she's heading back home instead of going after Cersei. She knows LF has something to do with the slaughter of the Starks at the Freys, when she crossed paths with him while playing cup bearer to Tywin.
