Gilly's book, plus Howland Reed's testimony and a presumption that Westeros follows the custom of male-preference primogeniture equals Jon Snow as the true Targaryen heir.

I wonder how Daenerys is going to take the news?
Did Sam take THAT exact book with him? It was dark and I couldn't tell if he picked that one up or not, and he pretty much ignored Gilly when he was venting, so he didn't hear the content.
Oh, and RIP Randall and Dickon Tarly. I only felt sorry for Dickon though; Randall was always mean to Sam.
I just kept thinking, as they were planning for the team of men to go north, why couldn't Dany just fly north over the wall on one of her dragons and see the white walkers for herself? They already know obsidian kills walkers, and she has plenty at her disposal. She and Jon could have hopped a dragon, thrown some some dragon glass arrows in their pockets, taken a gander at the walkers, and snatched a few to bring back to show Circe, and been back in time for lunch.

I know, I know, suspension of disbelief . . .
How well would dragons do, north of the wall?
