Varys has been stripped of his little birds. Qyburn now controls them - at least in Westeros.
I believe that the early Targaryen failures (the capture of Yara Greyjoy and Ellaria Sand and the destruction of Yara's fleet, the Unsullied becoming trapped in a now impoverished Casterly Rock, the loss of Dornish and Martell allies) are due mainly to Team Targaryen flying blind.
Exactly. Dani is a floating cloud that rules nothing, achieves nothing, understands nothing but looks good doing it. The thorn queens advice was warranted, you want to be a queen then BE a queen or dragon. Hence her spontaneous trip to fry the Lannister convoy line was well done. Things will turn in her favor if she takes charge.
And if she can't have children there is no dynasty so why follow her as ruler to face another dynastic challenge? That was Henry vii and Tudor problem producing a long term rulin- dynasty hence continual turmoil and intrigue. At least he took the bull by the horns and ruled.
So if you are looking at the people of KL to ring in support of Dani she will have to continue bein- a dragon

You mean it's not because all of the White Walkers are men, and as such they all refuse to stop and ask for directions?
Not at all. They suffered a big delay when they purchased ACME Rocket Skates for all the dead in an effort to speed their advance, but every single pair malfunctioned, scattering the army all over the North.
Well, it's not like those zombies are marathon runners now. The White Walkers must have the patience of a saint.

HA!
And here I was thinking, "Have you ever tried to herd an army of zombies? Keep wanderin' off, stoppin' to flail around in the snow."
*Shot of dead guy trying to eat snowflakes*
ZOMBIE BOB!
"Urrrnng??"
YOU GET YOUR BUTT BACK OVER HERE THIS MINUTE!
"Uuuooohhh kayyy"
*Zombie Bob resumes dejected shuffle*
It's gonna be rough when they get to the southern lands. Zombies getting all distracted at the farms, stopping to fight the plants...invading random amusement parks...luring flies with Zagnut bars. You really can't take your eyes off a dead guy for one minute, you know?
On a more serious note. I have a thought that is crazy and unlikely, but we do know that Cersei actually loves her children, or did, like that's always been the one good thing about her. What if she legit decides that the power games are too damn dangerous and just wants to go disappear and raise her baby in safety? Wouldn't THAT take the wind out of everybody's sails?
So what value does Varys have to Dany if he no longer has information?
Tyrion seems to like Varys, maybe Daenerys is just humoring him.
Seriously though, Varys probably still has his network of spies in Essos which would be helpful in keeping tabs on the cities in Slaver's Bay. Additionally, Varys has been in service to at least three kings (Aerys II, Robert, and Joffrey), he at least brings an insight on what not to do as a regent.

Actually, I'm pretty certain that in episode 5, when Brandon wargs into a flock of ravens and goes spying north of the wall, when the White Walkers are spotted in the midst of their army of wights, the Walkers were seen to be arguing over the best way to fold their AAA map.
White Walkers haven't figured out Google Maps yet.
