Just finished season 2 a day or two ago. Good show. Strong performances by just about every actor. I really can't think of a character that is weak, in terms of being on point and bringing a good performance. The one kid, I forget his name, Three or something like that. Wyatt's little brother. That could be that he's just not given much to actually say.

It's when a character annoys you or you really like them or something on that order. It's if they can get you to feel something about them you know that they are doing a good job or at least a decent job of acting and of course the writing behind them has to help as well. I know that's probably a lame way of seeing it, but for me I think it works on some level.

Take for example Helen. The actress is really convincing in a subtle laid back way. The way she sometimes looks at Marty or other people. The tone of her eyes, her body language. She's a woman not to be screwed around with and it's even more impressive because of the subtle nature of it. She's not some rampaging maniac, that you know, but what you don't know is what is behind those eyes, those cold calculating, knowing eyes.... LOL.

You could list off other characters and so many of them are just doing a good job.

The writing is really pretty decent as well. I don't wanna hype it up that much, it's not Shakespeare after all.

I was entertained and at the end of the day that's all that matters to me.

I get what you're saying. I lived in Columbia for 5 years, and my impression of the Lake was more a place where people from KC or STL had Lake homes, or where people from Columbia and Jeff City hung out for the day during the Summer. I think in Season 1, they do a better job of portraying the relationship between the full time and part time residents. I will say that once or twice, we took back roads down to the Lake, and ran into people and properties that were very Langmore like.

For that matter, I have never considered the Lake of the Ozarks to actually be part of *the Ozarks*, the name notwithstanding. My grandparents retired and lived for 20 years on Table Rock Lake not far from Branson and I spent my summers there. The area where they lived was a lot like the places and characters portrayed on the show, but the Lake always felt removed from that, and very much its own community.

No one has commented on the the new female Cartel Rep...Janet McTeer is a VERY famous British actress...i was surprised to see her...and this is the best I have ever seen her on screen...she gets better with age and does an American accent perfectly.
If you want to see her in action see Cat Run a little known great movie! All 6'1" of her.

I want Darlene Snell DEAD! Perhaps slowly.

I was a bit surprised to see a man (with a lot to risk, high profile) pick up a women at a bar and within an hour let himself be tied up, have a bra handy...and a someone brought a strap on to the party...what ?
One of these 2 carries a bag of tricks with them? Wendy was so smart with that orchestration!!
She had less than 24 hrs to change that casino vote!

Love Buddy best.
Rachel's in trouble...idiot...steal cartel money, then drive drunk...oh yeah.

My son compared Buddy to the character Grandpa in the movie The Lost Boys. I thought that was a good comparison.

I like how they made Helen this complete psychopath, but she still chats about commonplace problems with her ex and her children. She reminded me of an executive that comes in to town to visit the branch in a smaller town and is annoyed there is no five star hotel haha.

Original series first shown on cable and over the air channels often eventually make their way to Netflix. I don't think the opposite ever happens.

The show might eventually be available for purchase on DVD or Blu-ray.

.
I'm a big fan of hers and was surprised to see her in this series as well. Last I saw her was in Jessica Jones playing a wacko. I first saw her in a little indie film called Tumbleweeds. She was good in that, been a fan ever since. Check it out.
