No mountainrose - in one of his last talks with Cora he says something to the effect I know now that what happened to us wasnt our fault but I still don't know what to do with it - thats a very bad paraphrase.
What that means............
He was abused as a child. So he is more likely seeing that woman due to the abuse. It can be very complicated and so I don't want to theorize. Some abused turn into abusers, some abused self harm, some abused try to help others, some abused get others to keep abusing them......

So even though I didn't watch the first season, I assume I can watch the 2nd because it is a stand alone like American Horror?
