I remember it. I wanted to be Donna Pescow.

I remember the show "Angie." The only 2 characters who were interesting to watch were Donna Pescow & Doris Roberts.

Angie's husband bored me and her sister annoyed me.

Some time back I was watching a Game Channel re-run of the late '70's edition of "The Match Game." Donna Pescow was one of the celebrity panelists and unlike the others, it was deemed necessary by Gene Rayburn to keep explaining why Ms. Pescow was a celebrity....she is starring in a new show...Angie!

One of the co-stars of Angie, Debralee Scott, was a celebrity panelist numerous times on the show and they never stopped to explain why she was merited her appearance. Scott had already had supporting roles in "Welcome Back Carter" and "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman", so she was actually considered a bigger star than Pescow at the time.

Pescow's career diminished into soap opera parts, Scott never did anything of note after Angie was canceled. I always associate the vanishing of those two with another actress, Karen Lynn Gorney, who was Travolta's co-star in Saturday Night Fever, and never did anything after that.

Maybe that's why "Our Miss Brooks" never married Mr. Boynton in the TV series.
