Seems like so many shows don't fit the general comedy or drama format. Shows like Atlanta aren't straight comedy. Orange is the new black isn't a typical drama.

I think they should just keep it how it is. A dramedy can usually find it's place in the right category when the time comes. An extra category will just make things messier and the award shows longer. They would have to make a dramedy category for best show, best actor, best actress.....etc. and the award show would be endless.

They actually have rules that don't always make it fall into the best category. For example, they ruled that any hour show is deemed a drama which meant OITNB was forced out of comedy and into drama.
