Having your name stated on TV/being quoted vs. being a nameless person briefly in the background - which would you prefer, assuming neither is for a bad reason (such as an arrest) and the viewing audience is the same?

I don't really have a desire to be on TV at all, but I can't imagine why I would want to be a nameless person in the background. What's the point?

Some people get a thrill from it. Sometimes they also get paid for that.

I have sort of been shouted out on TV, and I've been paid to be in the background. The latter makes the sight feel unearned to me, and of course it takes away the surprise/good luck factor.
