There was an article that Julie Chen took a pay cut so they had enough money to pay these stars - it's a sin that these stars are so "poor" they couldn't give up that paycheck - if they were the normal guy on the street who had quit his job or taken a leave without pay - to be on the show - I could see it - but all these people earned Big Bucks in their day.

Big bucks?

I saw Ross' home on an hgtv show, it was small. Maybe 1100 sq ft.

Marissa was in one hit Broadway show. She probably got paid 5k/week for a year.

Brandi only makes money from appearances

The beauty queen has no job afaik but I'm sure won money from the pageant, hardly a lifetime of income

Keisha hasn't had a steady job since childhood and I don't think that child stars made big money

Shannon was a supporting actor in a film over a decade ago. Once again, not big bucks.

Etc, etc

Why would you feel badly for Julie Chen vs the cast? Julie is married to the head of CBS. She probably wipes her butt with $100 bills. She's mega rich.

I'm in agreement with the poster that said spoiled Rudy knew what she signed up for.

She should have to quit. Her decision. How much money could she have made for 1 week, anyway?

Poor Metta...keeps trying to escape and no one is sending him home, no matter how much he begs!

Omaroaster was thrilled that they voted Rudy out...kept her safe another week.

WHY am I watching this?!! Worse than the regular season. People...if you need money, GET A JOB!

It's not about how much you make for a week, it's about the money you get for walking in the door. It's like dwts. Each person gets a flat fee, then they earn an extra bonus for each week they survive, then they get the extra 250k to win. Omarosa got 500k for walking in the door. I'm guessing the others got about 100k, I think the bonus in early weeks is 5k and increases. Keisha would have lost everything if she walked.

Why are you hating on them and saying to get a job? It's no different than dwts. They aren't there bc they love to dance, they are there to get paid. Besides, this is a job. The network wants "celebs", they are "celebs" and they took the job.

It makes no sense to vote Omarosa out over Keisha from a game standpoint, Omarosa can't win any comps. She's harmless as long as you can disregard her mental games. Same with Metta, he's no threat right now. Why waste an eviction on someone who isn't even playing? Go for a threat.

I don't get why people think that just because they had a few successes in their careers that they are set for life.

I see. I mean they should get paid for showing up whether they quit or not should not factor in. These shows are a cash cow for the networks. So money is beyond pointless for the network. Anyhoo, I'm still of a mind that you make people quit and not give them out. It's not fair to the game.

Maybe you should do a search as to their worth - please don't degrade someone without doing some research

Brandi Glanville - $2 Million - https://www.celebritynetworth.com/ri...lle-net-worth/

Omarosa: - $3.5 Million - https://www.celebritynetworth.com/ri...osa-net-worth/

Ariadna - is an actress, model - appearing in US and Spanish TV - she's got money - maybe not as much as the rest - but she's earned plenty

Keisha - $12 million- https://www.celebritynetworth.com/ri...iam-net-worth/

Marissa - $8 million - https://networthpost.com/net-worth/m...kur-net-worth/

Ross - $2 million - https://www.celebritynetworth.com/ri...ews-net-worth/

Shannon - $9 million - https://www.celebritynetworth.com/ri...eth-net-worth/

So much for them not having money!

I agree - barring a death or a US invasion - they signed up for this - they are there to stay.

Celeb net worth is notoriously unreliable.

2 million in celebrity world is poor. It also doesn't mean that it's liquid. Ross' tiny house in California is probably 3/4-1/2 of his worth.

Marissa's net worth comes from her producer husband. 8 million for a couple in LA isn't huge.

Once again, Julie Chen is married to Les Moonves and I don't feel bad about her taking a pay cut. He's worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

As another poster stated do your research before you speak on these celebrities. Keshia Knight Pulliam for example has worked since childhood. She was on House of Payne from 2007-2012. She has been on a long list of shows and movies. Her last movie appearance was 2016.

It doesn't mean that they are set for life. I was unaware of Keisha but I did just read that she is going through a nasty divorce so her net worth has probably suffered. Why else would she be doing reality tv like this?

I'm done talking about it but the bottom line is that what you and I consider rich is not rich in their world.
