It was actually great to see him poke fun at himself a bit. Made me like him a bit more.

The only thing that would have made the Sean Spicer bit funnier is if they could have gotten the motorized podium that Melissa McCarthy used.

The Emmys were a 3 hour show. Political jokes took up maybe 5 minutes of those 3 hours. The rest of the time was focused on the awards and shows.

The Emmys were crappy! I only watched to see my celebrity crush, but he barely got any airtime and his show didn't win. So I wasn't pleased.

Lol, Trump people are surely going to take credit but it's not the real reason.
- no Game of Thrones, which means no huge show except for This is Us. Just look at the Oscars. Their ratings are usually low when there's not a blockbuster in the mix
- people don't watch tv like we're used to. They are watching online, dvr, etc look at what constitutes a huge tv hit nowadays...12 million is huge but 10 years ago, you'd be in danger of cancellation with those numbers
- football was on

You're never going to get 20 million anymore. 8 million isn't terrible for a 3 hour show airing on the busiest night in prime time. I'm sure if you measure the dvr and online numbers, it'd be a much higher number.

And considering how few shows are nominated compared to the number of shows on TV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc... I would think most people only tune in if there favorite show is one with a lot of nominations.
