I know, and I am emo, so Silent Night playing as all that bad stuffed happened made me sad.

Glad for the previews that gave me hope for a better next episode.

I had to watch the finale on demand and missed the preview.
But that last episode was pretty dramatic.

The ceiling lights buzzing:
This is a very common problem. Each fluorescent light fixture has inside it, a gadget called a ballast, about the size of a butter-dish, that does electrical magic for fluorescent lamps. (Helps them turn-on).
Sometimes when they get old and start to fail, they cause a buzzing sound.

I was very disappointed in this episode.
The general theme about a person others label as 'disabled', showing they can be successful in a very difficult profession, is a great show concept. How he copes with medicine, peers, a GF, a mentor, are all relevant and interesting.
Spoiler
Then they add sub-plots about the mentor's illness and other doctor's side relationships that a Mexican telenovela would envy and now a plague.
What's next? Alians probing without a certificate showing they filled out the proper Hospital Privilege forms).
They should stick with the star.
I had to go look to make sure this wasn't a season end cliff-hanger, it was so drama-forced.

I tend to agree with you somewhat but then again seeing nothing but Dr. Murphy interacting with the hospital and staff would get very boring very quickly.

Freddie Highmore wanted to go home for the holidays so the show will be back in 3 weeks.

It's a good thing that they had some lighter, comedic parts in last night's episode. Oh my goodness, the thank you walk and Shannon kissing her daughter's skin for the last time really had my heart hurting.

The opposite side of the story had me loling. Glassy and Shaun have such great chemistry. I think the actors do too.

I wish the Melendez and Kin sl would just end already! I can not bear to watch anymore of them!!!!

I think one of my only "guffaws" from this show was in last night's episode - where Shaun goes "Am I high?" I don't know why, but that really made me laugh.
