See--I was not too positive about this show--and don't think it is a qualified success but I enjoyed this episode more--
I think because the Aussie resident had an original idea (must say I had already wondered if they would do that to avoid her heart issue) and Sean's diagnosis of how to repair the young porn star's issue came from a real-world situation...
The fact that he was very angry when he couldn't find his screwdriver is typical for many people with his condition so it was very real to include that...
I am wondering what happens the first time he makes a move on a girl though because that seems to be where they are leading pretty strongly...
Latest episode was great. It's becoming more of an ensemble drama instead of all focusing on one character. I've been looking for a good medical drama ever since ER ended and finally this might be the one.
The first two episodes were excellent, the last two not so good. The show wanes when it veers away from the lead character. This is not House, MD. It's on ABC, a Disney channel and the writing is supposed to be simplistic and feel-good.

I don't think you can imply ABC is unique in having content/writing that is "simplistic and feel-good" because it is Disney owned...
The other prime-time channels offer plenty of "simplistic" fare, especially with their comedy shows...
I have started watching "The Good Wife" again on Hulu and the writing and characterizations are stronger by far than most of the shows on today---
Not to say it is perfect---but so much better than many of the dramas on now...

If you have Hulu, my girlfriend told me she is hooked on the Handmaid's Tale. ?
I am one of those people who react strongly to some movies and tv shows--
I have tried watching "The Handmaid's Tale" three times and I just can't stay with it
The situation reminds me too closely of the mysogynistic policies of the alt-right arm of the GOP....
I love Moss, have seen her work in other series like Top of the Lake and Mad Men and there are strong production values---it is a well-done series...but it is too scary for me...
Same here. I think if they left Sean with quirks it would be fine but for him to have total melt downs and be a doctor no. That doesn't work for me. Maybe he should have been an expert consultant instead of a doctor.
Yes hed make a good consultant , but wouldnt make much of a story I suppose , plus his bedside manner is quite funny

Do you watch Chicago Med? I find that to be on par with ER (one of my favorite shows of all time).

Where is that show? Late-starter?
