It will definitely not be Melissa Joan Hart's "Sabrina". Personally I'll be all in on this

Quote:
The potential series would be based on the Archie Comics series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” which reimagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult, and witchcraft. The series is described as being tonally in the vein of horror classics like “Rosemary’s Baby” and “The Exorcist,” and will see Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature as a half-witch, half-mortal while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the daylight world humans inhabit.

I can't wait for this! I loved Sabrina and putting this new spin on it will be perfect. I'm hoping it will be like Buffy.

The CW's Sabrina Series Moves to Netflix With Two-Season Order

Quote:
Based on the Archie Comics graphic novel The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the show “reimagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft,” The CW’s description read. “This adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa will pen the Netflix pilot, with Lee Toland Krieger on board to direct. Aguirre-Sacasa and Krieger will also serve as executive producers alongside Berlanti Prods.’ Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, and Archie Comics’ Jon Goldwater.

This is great news! At least on Netflix it will get a chance to find an audience.

I have no problem at all with it moving to Netflix but the CW has a good record of letting shows find their footing

That's true. Crazy Ex Girlfriend has pretty low ratings but it's still on and I'm thankful for that. It's such a good show! I think any other network would have canceled it.

Sounds interesting. Sabrina with a Buffy feel. If they were rebooting the Melissa Joan Hart Sabrina I wouldn't give it a look because it's basically been there, done that. Making it dark and giving it a Buffy/Supernatural vibe? That's in my wheelhouse. I love sci-fi/horror/fantasy if it's done right. Putting the show on Netflix gives the producers and show runners freedom to be as Dark and/or Gorey as they want. No worries about vendors looking over their shoulders
