I'm trying to get back to watching more TV, need to widen my interests more. Can anyone recommend any good shows? Preferably comedy. I would like to watch Young Sheldon.
My favorite sitcom is Life in Pieces. I will also watch The Goldbergs, Speechless, and Mom. That is pretty much it for sitcoms. Jane the Virgin was very smart and funny in the beginning. Still funny, but getting too be a little too much at times. I'd still really go back and recommend watching at least the first season. I think that is all I watch as far as comedy goes.

Happy to help. I watch a lot of sitcoms. Are you looking for new shows, premiering this fall? Which by the way starts tomorrow (Monday Sept 25). Or are you willing to jump in to a show that's already under way?
Also, are we talking broadcast TV, or do you also have cable? And finally, can you show an example or two of sitcoms you have liked in the past? This way we can get a feel for your preferences, as sitcoms run the gamut from multi-cam std style shows, to edgy, snarky or dry-wit shows.
History Detectives
Nature shows
Live PD
Cooking shows...with history of region and foods
Any Ken Burns films on PBS ie topics Jazz, Baseball, Civil War,
etc. now playing-VietNam war
These might widen your perspective more than sitcoms
The Good Place is an entertaining comedy that I would suggest. I also really like Broad City. Both are so different from each other but equally enjoyable. The Good Place would be more dark humor and Broad City is more raunchy. Silicon Valley is another show worth checking out. It might be more your taste if you are also interested in Young Sheldon. It's a nerdy humor.
