That sounds like 8 episodes, two of them being 2 hours, for a total of 10 hours or 10 legs.

Edited to add: Looks like it will be for 8 weeks, but with four 2-hour episodes, for a total of 12 hours/legs.

'The Amazing Race's 30th season to premiere January 3 on CBS, air over only eight weeks - Reality TV World
Guess we'll find out in January, Dave. The link you provided in post #25 shows the dates the episodes are set to air and it seems to conflict with a little bit with the 2nd link you provided. Not sure if you saw it but if you scroll down far enough in the first link it shows the dates. TAR's 2nd episode will be on January 24th at 8pm (2 hour episode). It's CBS' site so should be correct. CBS Reveals Winter Premiere Dates For New Shows And Returning Favorites - CBS.com

January 3rd/8pm(EST) - Season premiere
January 24th/8pm - Double episode
February 7th/9pm - Double episode
February 14th/9pm - Double episode
February 21st/9pm - Season finale

Seems a little light. Basically 8 episodes packed into 5 nights. Hopefully CBS will keep this show going. If I had to chose between TAR, Survivor & Big Brother I'd chose TAR hands down.

The Amazing Race - Official Site - CBS.com

It's interesting that there is three teams of male/female and the rest are teams of same gender.

I hate when they bring back past players. Therefore, I doubt I will watch.

Are they bringing back past Amazing Race players? I thought they were all going to be new players this time.

They are all new. Some are famous or semi-famous.

She may just be thinking of Cole and Jessica being from last season's Big Brother, perhaps?
