Who remembers the Room 222 TV Series from late 1960’s- early 1970’s? Show starred Karen Valentine, Denise Nicholas, Lloyd Haynes, Michael Constantine and many guest stars early in their careers.
It’s one of my favorite shows from this era.
Was able to get seasons 1 & 2 on DVD but can’t find other seasons.
The Aspire network was running it daily in early mornings and while back. It may be on break now. Behind the White Shadow a lot of Room 222 seemed true to 70's LA City Schools. They even touched on White Flight and the fears of a White girl daughter socializing with Black boys. But then I was a kid when it aired versus graduating with the characters of The White Shadow
I used to love this show! Gosh, it was soooooo long ago and I can't remember the storylines (I was born in 65), but do remember my Sister and I laughing about the show.
Used to watch this show on Friday night for the first couple of seasons. My family used to think my mom looked like Denise Nicholas. Thought she was much better looking than Karen Valentine. One thing for sure, LLoyd Hanes was much better looking than Michael Constantine.
There’s great story lines - it’s really enjoying. Not just a “nostalgic” show; some of the story lines were way ahead of their time.
I don't know about ahead of its time many shows were doing such themes before a pull back in the 80s.
It was the original dramedy. Being 30 minutes instead of an hour normally means it is seen as a sitcom.
