I really hope the actual show doesn't have a narrator pontificating purple prose.

Really enjoying this so far. The cast is exceptional. I’m excited to see where this story goes. I love all the little nods to King’s other stories.

More than nods I'd say. It's practically a sequel to Shawshank Redemption.

I've seen the first two episodes so far. It's okay. I don't dislike it, but I'm sure not hooked. It seems to be trying to be an Easter Egg story rather than its own story.

It is beautifully shot though. One of the few Stephen King adaptations that actually looks like it could be in Maine. It's actually filmed in Massachusetts.

Part of me is waiting for Sissy Spacek's character to tell someone, "Let me tell you about my prom night...."

I'm liking the show so far. It's building up. I'm especially curious about the "real estate queen." She seems to have some interesting abilities. Stephen King's stories are usually extraordinarily long and detailed, so I imagine this series might take a while to really "get where it's goin'," you know?

I think it is my new favorite current show. Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) is the composer.

Just watched the first episode. Not sure about it. What are we doing here? What are we looking for? All I see are pieces from all his other work.

I am not much of a King fan. I have tried to be since his beginning but he always fails to hook me. Except for The Shining. Of course I was just a young 20 something then. I will keep watching to see where this goes.
