I'm having a very hard time sticking with this show. The writing is just not very good. Very disappointed, because I wanted to love this show. It isn't bad. But I think they had about 3 episodes worth of story that they have stretched into 10 episodes.
I'm with Mark S. Stephen King's name is a big draw and there's a pretty good cast, but it feels thrown together. There's no cohesive writing. It's slow....painfully slow. I loved Sissy Spacek's episode the other week. To me, that was the only stand out episode.
I like all the characters. I love the actors. But the story is just not all that interesting. For a Stephen King-inspired story, there is a remarkable like of tension. The supposed villain just wanders around looking creepy and (maybe) causing occasional bits of chaos.
So we know that White Henry Deaver came from another universe. Now when someone comes from another universe chaos occurs according to the show.
Now this part I don't understand they emphasized a lot on WHD touching people and then that would make them do irrational things. Example being the Warden touching the WHD and the Prison Guard. However, the Suit guy from the beginning touched him bringing him to the Cell didn't see anything happen with him...Maybe he is from another universe.
However, there has been instances where people did irrational things without touching him. The house where he watched the family and the paintings. Also the German Shepard that came from another Universe barked causing BHD mom to jump off the bridge.*
So how does someone from another universe have to affect you. Is it by touch, staring at you, prolong exposure to them, or something else.
Also is BHD from this universe. Yes he ages...We never see him younger than the age he disappeared at. So did he come from another universe then went to that universe then to another universe and back again...Doing so allowed him to age and erase most of his memories.
Now an interesting article talked about people can pass through the schism but what else can. Did something darker and more sinister pass through? Can the schism be closed?
Now they say Season 2 will be a new storyline. The Series will be an anthology.*
I do hope they continue to focus on Castle Rock and the Schism. They created an awesome loophole that basically any character dies in one Universe can come back from another one.
Speaking of deaths how did Heney Deavers dad survive when he died as a child...Did his dad actually come back?
I dont know what to think after the last episode. When the young boy went missing all those years ago, did he go into the future? And the one locked in the prison for 30 years was accidently left in the past?
