I was the only little kid in all of Creation who would get excited when The Ropers came on. I loved how Stanley Roper would make his little wise-ass remarks and then look right into the camera.
Here's another vote for Frasier - never cared for Cheers however.
I don't like the Coach years of Cheers but i LOVE the Woody era. Also any episode featuring Frasier and Lilith. Huge fan of Frasier, Niles is perhaps my all-time favorite supporting character, with Frank Costanza almost neck to neck with him.
One of my favorite Frasier moments is the time Niles told Frasier that Maris had stopped speaking to him because he 'had the audacity to point out an extra syllable in a haiku she'd written'.
One more vote for Frasier. He and Niles were so funny together, with their lack of awareness regarding their over-the-top pretentiousness!
And Eddie. Gotta love Eddie. ❤️
1) Fraiser - This show is hilarious, and it still stands up today, its just funny and I think its better than its parent show Cheers. I loved the interactions between Fraiser, Niles, two uptight, almost prissy ways with that of their father Martin Crane and loved the interactions with each other, sibling rivalry at its best
2) The Jeffersons - A great show, which showcased George Jefferson as an African-American Archie Bunker type and his dealings with the neighbors, Bentley, and the 1st interracial couple shown on TV Tom and Helen Willis (Roxie Roker is mother to Lenny Kravitz) and of course his wise crackin maid who rarely did any work, lol Florence and one that put Wheezie (sp?) in the American lexicon, lol and I loved the interaction between George and Louise and Louise was the only one who can fully put George in his place (Florence too, but Louise even more in my opinion, I mean she is his wife). I loved the original Lionel too, the second one was good, but the original Lionel was the best of the two.
3) Xena - Though at times I felt they tried to make it too much of a point with the hard blow violence of the show, to show that women can be just as strong and dangerous as any man (as if that isnt obvious, lol), I liked Xena, and the interesting relationships between her, Gabrielle and Ares (the god of war). I think (no I know that Ares was very jealous of Gabrielle's influence on Xena and also I think surprisingly he lowkey admired her and saw her potential as well). Hercules was still my favorite show of these two, but this spinoff is a great one and one of my favorites.
Another Frazier vote
And when it was on, I admit I liked Lavern and Shirley
Gomer Pyle as well—offshoot of The Andy Griffith Show
Now I doubt I could watch any but Frazier—which I still do streaming...
