I don't think she is, but I don't follow country music closely any more.
Blake has made it very clear that he'd love to see an african american country star. I remember Charlie Pride and Ray Charles. Loved 'em both back in the 80's. I can't remember a female artist.
I think maybe a few R & B artists are trying to change their style to match up with Blake's "wants". And it sounds like Spensha is one of them, to my ear.
There sure were a lot of pitchy songs last night. This is the first time I didn't care for Britton's performance. Sounds like only one will be eliminated tonight, and Britton is the only one I care about not getting eliminated. Any of the others can go.

To me, a show called The Voice should be about just that, the voice, not about which coach is more 'likable' or what genre a performer sings. And yes, I know, that's a very subjective thing. IMO it became less about the voice when the format was changed to artificially have each coach put three team members in the top twelve, I'd rather see the twelve voted the best singers put through even if it means one coach ending up with no one in the top twelve.
I am sad for D.R., but I've always thought Rayshun to be better. I am shocked these two were in the bottom two! I would have put Brynn and Christiana there!

The show never worked that way. Literally every season had a coach end with three prior to lives.
I am really loving watching La Voix on Sundays this year! The finale is next Sunday and I think I might vote for Yama Laurent as her voice moves me so much! If she sings well I shall vote for the first time! Here is her battle which she won, singing "Let it be", everyone was in tears it was so beautiful! She is the one on the right.
Previewing Spensha’s previous albums on iTunes and they were R&B type pop and gospel.
Jackie Foster also is not “rock.”
