I have both Comcast & DirecTV (I have two locations). Much prefer DirecTV. Most people don't realize Comcast has degraded all cable (except the local channels) to 720p. By dropping from 1080i to 720p, they freed up some bandwidth to add more channels, but at the expense of a less-sharp HD picture. DirecTV is still 1080, and even my 60+ yr old eyes can see the diff. DirecTV also has more HD channels than Comcast.

I have several TiVo units, which I use on Comcast. That's the *only* reason I haven't switched to DirecTV at that location. DirecTV can't use a TiVo, only their own equipment.

Been with DTV for 8 years now. Its always been top notch HD quality. Better than Dish when I left them. The costs now a days is through the roof. Not sure how much longer I am going to stay with them considering how far and better cord cutter providers are getting.
