Rio said something like "you didn't think this through; you want to be the king, you gotta kill the king". But Beth's husband was all roughed up, and Beth pleaded with Rio to not kill them (meaning Beth and her husband). Rio then said something like "I'm not killing anybody....you are" and then slid the gun across the table to Beth.
I was under the impression that Rio wanted Beth to shoot/kill her husband. Or was Rio challenging Beth to shoot/kill him (Rio)?
And how is Rio out of jail?
If those questions had been answered there wouldn't be a second season. They left us hanging so we will come back. Meantime we can speculate as to how this is going to how this will play out.
The answer about how Rio got out of jail though I think is that he's clever and powerful enough to have friends in high places that can bribe judges or hire really smart attorneys. Beth has been a bit naive in thinking she can be The Boss but this proves she can't.
Did anybody else think that maybe Rio's release was a set up? For some reason, I kept thinking that Agent Turner was going to come blasting through Beth's front door before anyone was shot.

Ohhhh I hadn't thought of that! They do offer deals to perps who agree to wear a wire to implicate others in crimes. They usually will only do that to catch someone higher up in the organization, but arresting 3 law abiding housewives for money laundering would look really good for LEO.

Hasn't been canceled yet but it's not on the schedule either. Maybe another one of those half-season shows? I hate those. Too often I start watching something on another network in that timeslot then don't remember to switch back, or don't want to.

I don't think this show will last past season 2, but I knew this immediately when I saw the previews. I've stopped while surfing a couple times, and it was about what I expected; an underwhelming show, with very average writing and acting. Which is a shame, because I loved Retta in Parks And Recreation....
