I have never watched a live, up to date, Law & Order but I love the show. It's great to fall asleep to as well.
A couple others that I like are King of Queens and Leverage.
Two And A Half Men.....now watch it every day...sometimes twice.....winter three times. Just the ones with Charlie
Agree totally. I also watch 2.5 Men reruns whenever they're on. One channel has reruns for 3-4 hours each day. And I, too, watch only the episodes with Charlie. Those had such superior writing, superior characters and superior acting to the post-Charlie episodes.
I recall bits and pieces of The Edge of Night (the daytime soap) from my childhood, when my mother watched it. The show changed networks and my mom (and thus I) quit watching in 1975. But I would not call myself a "viewer" in the real sense back then--it was just background noise to a pre-schooler. The show then went off the air in 1984. In the late 1980s the USA Network bought the reruns of the show's final five years and I started watching them out of curiosity, then got totally hooked on the show. Fast forward twenty-plus years and I discovered those same episodes uploaded to youtube and got to re-live them again, and enjoyed it all over again.
Similarly, much earlier repeats of the The Doctors from the late 1960s started airing on a digital channel (Decades, I think) and I got to see that show for the first time (that soap was cancelled in 1982). It's a much slower-paced show, but they sure don't make soaps like those any more.
We just got my in-laws hooked on 3rd Rock From The Sun. Our daughter hasn't seen it before either. Hubby and I did watch it for a few seasons but never finished it (not sure why). We are on season 4 at the moment.
