I'm not opposed to reboots and remakes, but the only way this one would work in the true spirit of the original is if they could figure out how to get Dixie Carter and Meshach Taylor to rise from the grave.
Loved Dixie Carter. The original casting on DW was so perfect..
I've said it many times before over the years and I'll say it again here now. You don't mess with a classic. No Dixie, no Meshach, heck no Alice Ghostly (all you fellow fans forgot about Bernice), no way. I don't care what actresses they get they won't hold a candle to the original cast

Didn't forget her ... she just didn't add much to the show for me.
How about you suggest something that you think is utterly original and we'll alternatively [a] bash you for not knowing some arcane examples of how your idea isn't original and how you are therefore stealing someone else's ideas; or [b] bash you for how horrendously bad your idea is, taken on its own.
I wasn't aware that presenting one's own original version of something was a requirement for not liking recycled materials.
Name all..or any...reboot of a TV series which was a hit. Dallas? Roseanne? The Brady Brides? The musical version of The Honeymooners?
Nah, I just could tell from your description you didn't know what you were talking about.
No, you could tell from my post that I didn't like the show. If you take a bite of some food and you do not like it, are you required to eat the entire thing before you may not like it? Or only not like it after eating it on several occasions? Is it your notion that if a sufficient amount of the food is shoved down your throat, you will suddenly start liking it?
You can take one bite and decide you don't like something, but you're not qualified to critique the whole menu.
