Young barely pubescent girls are just as hormonally intoxicated as young barely pubescent boys, and those hormones have one consistent, pounding message: Procreate.

For boys, it's direct--get on with the sexual intercourse. For girls, there is one speedbump: "Do you love me?" If the answer is yes, then they're also get on with the sexual intercourse. But their concept of "love" is learned: Have they learned that "love" means "put a ring on it," or "present me with a hut and a herd of cattle," or have they learned that love is merely if the boy says so in the heat of the moment?

But the point is that girls and boys at that age really must be considered somewhat non compos mentis, which is why they aren't to blame.

But the parents certainly are blameworthy, and of course R Kelly is the one we must hold directly accountable.

And if other entertainers haven't been nailed yet, it's only because their crimes were not nearly as egregious.

Sorry but that is reality. Please advise what is untrue...

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article...man-speaks-out

"In 2008, Jerhonda Johnson was a 15-year-old sophomore from Chicago’s south suburbs who cut high school every day to attend R. Kelly’s trial on 14 counts of making child pornography. The R&B superstar had no bigger fan, and Johnson was quoted in national media stories defending her musical idol."

Now where exactly where the parents in this situation. Cutting school every day to attend R.Kelly's child pornography trial.

I watched all six episodes over the weekend. Iím not a huge fan of his, but I never really believed any of the stuff that I heard about him. Not because I assumed he could do no wrong, but the stuff just didnít seem believable to me. Even after watching the show, it still seems unbelievable. Not that I think the women are lying, but the whole situation sounds unimaginably crazy to me. Hopefully all of his victims/brainwashed sex slaves will find a way to get away from him sooner than later.

As a once barely pubescent girl, procreating was the last thing in my mind. Thatís ridiculous.

You didn't actually read what I wrote, or you didn't comprehend it.

I wasn't talking about what you were thinking. I talked about the purpose of the hormonal drive.

Procreation is the purpose of puberty.

I remember hearing about the video, but didn't actually see it. I assumed that maybe it wasn't him in the video and then of course after watching the show, I found out that the girl in the video and her parents actually denied that it was her. So if there was no one to say, "Yes, I'm the girl in the video and yes, that's R. Kelly" what were they supposed to do?

You don't have to be a certain type of person to like R. Kelly's music. He's talented. He's written many hits for himself and for other people.

The court system had no recourse but acquittal, however the court technicality acquittal is not what we're talking about here.

We're talking about all the people now suddenly shocked and aghast at the revelation of this newly released program.

We knew about his predilection for young girls 15 years ago when he married a 15-year-old. He claimed "I thought she was 18," but he'd been working her (and I deliberately excluded "with") for years before that, so I don't believe he thought he was with an older girl for that long). We knew about his predilection for sexual perversions with young girls when we observed the court case ten years ago--the fact that he performed the act on someone's young daughter wasn't in question.

Nobody has a reason to be shocked and aghast today. The only surprise is that for the last two decades people have still been buying enough of his music to keep him wealthy enough to continue his perversions.

Oh please. The list of men who continue to have supporters after abuses like this are revealed is a mile long. Or did we forget that we almost had a senator elected after the same type of behavior came to light not too long ago? What are we going to say about his supporters? Bet they donít know who R Kelly is either.

The lesson here is that people suck, and will overlook abuse in a heartbeat if a powerful, famous or charismatic man is involved. They will tell themselves the victims are lying and happily move on.
