Oh my I had to look up Aneta Cosaut /Helen Crump. I recognized the name but could not put a face to it. Yes she was definitely my favorite, though I immediately remembered Ellie Walker.

I LOVED that show.

It's still on several cable channels every day. I never get tired of watching it.

Nah, I always wanted him to hook up with one of the "fun girls" from Mt. Pilot that he and Barney took out a few times.

Who was the one that entered skeet contest against him? I think she lasted only one episode as well.

I thought Hellen was boring. Ellie was much more interesting.

I kind of found them annoying when I was younger but now they are some of my favorite episodes, especially the ones with Earnest T. Bass. The Darling family was a real band and their music was really good.

mine was Joanna moore as well she was also the mother of tatum o neal . if you look at their pictures side by side you can see the family resemblance . She was also a big drinker and dabbled with pills too . But none the less I liked her the best . I hear andy Griffith was hard to get along with and very hands on the show . No one got hired without his say so .

it took me a while to get used to the name Crump--sort of sounding like "Grump".
i've read that some viewers thought she wasn't the best choice for Andy with all
the episodes about being jealous, disagreeing strongly with Andy, etc. but maybe the Andy character liked someone who was 'passionate'; he seemed like a more reserved guy,
trying to be tolerant, etc. maybe added something to the "chemistry" of the characters, like Barney Fife.
