I do like them and their work.

Man, HGTV is having a real love affair with Nashville.

TN has a very strong TV and film incentive for productions there - 25% of costs as well as sales and hotel tax rebates/waivers. The weather is reasonable year round and as a growing hip city, there's a cool vibe to draw in viewers.

And I miss them.
It's true, every time I tune in to HGTV, either Property Brothers or Fixer Upper is on.
I am fed up with these shows, they need a better assortment.

Show the old reruns for crying out loud!

Home Town has replaced Fixer Upper for me. A nice young couple in Laurel, Miss. team up to removal houses. It’s small town life, with very affordable houses. The wife is a bit precious, but they are a cute couple. She’s an artist and he’s a carpenter.

I have no patience any more for expensive real estate in CA or Canada. I don’t even care to watch those shows.

I couldn't stand Chip and Joanna. About the only "couple" I like and they are really not a couple are the two on Love it or List it.

Good God, who doesn't love Chip and Joanna? Do you kick your dog when no one's looking?
I'd rather witness a colonoscopy than watch another episode of Love It or List It.

Maybe this is a lesson for TV producers: you can't really "create" a hit. If it were that easy, they would only create hit shows. Shows catch on for a host of reasons, and trying the same formula over and over (copycats) is no guarantee of success. Rather than trying to find another version of the Gaineses, they ought to focus on filling whatever niche isn't being currently served--developing shows that aren't like anything else already on their air.

Same here. IMHO, the show is okay but I don't get the fawning over them. And then Chip went all Dave Grohl when he hit 40.
