YES! I agree...and I have loved the Sheriff since TV's Fargo.
That little girl is just darling! Long Island, NY...ok
I like the reporter aspect.
I also love she is not some skinny beauty in the lead role.
Very happy for this show!! (And Stumptown)

Spoiler
This has to be an outer space thing.
I loved her wanting to see the photos on the phone...and freshening the coffee
for prints...she's smart. I also think it's neat she has a black ex hubby from Scrubs.

Given the setting, I'll be surprised if we don't hear "Montauk" before the season ends.

I liked it OK & will keep watching for now along w/ some of these other new dramas.

If it gets canceled though, I won't cry about it.

I liked the crossing, but hated all the others and this show was terrible (my opinion). I'll bet it will go the way of the crossing....one year and only a memory.

I thought the pilot was so generic sci-fi it's tough to say about the rest of the season, or if the show will be good or not. But it wasn't terrible, so I'm in for a few more episodes.

The Sherriff reminded me of the actress who played the human mother on Humans. I thought they were one in the same, but after looking her picture up, I can see the resemblance. Very close!

Reminds me of those shows that keeps you asking questions but never gives you any answers. For that reason, I won't be watching!
