I really liked it, too. I love Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest) and so I was excited to see his new show, and it didn't disappoint. I hope the ratings are good. It's a little out there for mainstream, but I still liked. I would not have been able to survive "George". I would definitely have to change my sheets...
If your body is paralyzed during night terrors, can you excrete? Hopefully that function would be paralyzed too.
This was the new show I was MOST looking forward to this fall & I haven't watched just yet. I DVR'd it & will watch it soon!
OK, I've now watched the pilot episode & I'm glad to say I like it. It's a good, fall show to watch when being cozy at home!
That 'George' character that's in her mind during her night terrors is cheesy to me. It would have been terrifying if he didn't talk or hardly talked & if he did, sounded more demonic & his body movements were more mysterious & creepy as opposed to a human jumping up on her in bed & talking like a regular guy. His physical appearance is scary though, but the way they have him act & talk makes him a LOT less scary.
Really, cutting off her fingers isn't acting scary?
I didn't know what kind of "supernatural" show it was going to be, and remembered the demons in Supernatural on CW/WB. I was half expecting him to turn to smoke and inhabit her body like on that show, or spontaneously combust her body.
Watched this last night. Loved it. Great cast. And while this is still very much fiction, it's obvious that the writers actually did some homework regarding the Catholic Church and how it deals with supposed cases of possession. That's rare in TV in movies, where I'm convinced the writers don't even check Wikipedia.
And the show is beautifully shot. Even the interiors. Gorgeously lit and with a real "lived in" look. Shooting on location in New York really helps with that, I imagine.
Of the new shows premiering this season, this one has been my favorite by far.

And of course right out of the gate the ratings make it look like it will be CBS' first canceled show of the season
I'd think people would love psychological thrillers & this has some paranormal mixed in too.
It's CBS, the network for Senior Citizens. This show doesn't exactly fit that audience. If the ratings don't pick up, I'd bet this either gets cancelled or moved to CBS ALL ACCESS. In its place we'll get more doctors and lawyers and cops. Zzzzz.

Yes, thanks a lot. I knew each tv network pertains to certain age groups more than other, but I don't know which exact networks pertain to which groups.
really I saw it rated a 7 out of 10 . since when does a 7 out of a 10 get cancelled ? I don't think so .
