American Idol every year gets worse
Does anyone agree that it seems every year get worse than the one before. I have watched every year but the first one. Last year the the people were boring. THis year again. Take the year Taylor Hicks won there are several peoople who have broke out and making a career . Kelly, Bucky, Chris, and the other one with the bad teeth. Every year they have passes contestants come on but they go back a few years to get them. The last few years the people don't have any personalities.

I have given up on AI, it's just become too long and too dull. The only times I ever payed attention to it was when Clay Aiken was in the finals only because he is from NC, and the bad auditions. The last winner, Jordin Sparks has a nice voice but her first two songs are just very very boring. Some contestants are okay, others I dont understand what why they have record deals.
To end this up, I feel like AI is just a new way to find the next Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, ETC. Which is why I hope and pray AI will get cancelled next year.

I'm just curious about why someone would hope and pray that a tv show got canceled instead of just watching something else in that time slot?

Well Im going to answer your question: and add in some stuff i idnt say in my first post
First of all, I no longer watch it. Haven payed any attention to it this year.
Second of all, this season debuted in janurary, and its still going on?
Third, people have begun to take this too seriously, Example; the woman last year who went on a hunger strike until sanjaya got voted off.
Fourth, I can hope and pray it gets cancelled because I can.
I said I watched it only when the auditions were showing but even those were getting lamer year after year. And when Aiken was in it but only because he is from NC( my home state).
And lastly, like I said in my first post, I think it's just a way to find the new Beyonce, Rihanna, and so on. Do we really need another copycat?
And with that said, here is to hoping this is the final year.

Not a fan either. I stopped watching after the second season. It is still on the air, so I guess a lot of people still enjoy it.

I've never watched it in my life.
I don't plan to ever watch it in my life...
Personally, the show isn't my cup of tea. I only really watch one show (Hell's Kitchen) and to think that AI has a main show then updates throughout the week, a little too much for me.

this is the first time we have ever watched the entire season, so I can't give a complete opinion for comparison purposes. However, I do think there is a lot of talent and I believe that the network can re-invent some portions of the show to make it more appealing. I believe that it is too drawn out. two weeks of beatles was just terrible. Mariah carey>>who cares? I think it would be better to have the judges pick the songs for the contestants. they alway seem to say that the person chose the wrong song, so if they provided the song, it would be the right one!! also, cut down the results show so that it doesn't drag on all night! that is just boring. the mentoring segments are pretty boring too.
