I work from home during the day so I catch the reruns on some obscure channel that only shows 90s reruns all day

If there was ever a autobio movie of Carol Burnett I always thought Laurie Metcalf should be cast to play her. She reminds me so much of Carol.

Thank God I still can watch it and it doesn't matter how many times I see each show. I have some of the season and I watch those. I think Roseanne was the Only family sitcom that really showed a family. Sorry but others just don't compare.

I, personally, don't like Roseanne, although I did enjoy that show. I thought it was closer to a 'real' family than most, and the whole cast was good. Barr and Goodman were perfect for their roles.

I do think Roseanne suffered the worst paparazzi brutality when "they" discovered the daughter she gave up for adoption when she was young. The media just had a hey-day wringing it out and exposing it to the world, sticking their noses into a personal matter they had no business in. They cornered her like a mad dog and I really think this put her over the edge for awhile. It was sickening.

I absolutely love Rosanne! Didn't care for the new Becky or the last 2 or 3 seasons. Darlene was my favorite character. I was very much like her as a teen. I love the episode when she's at the concert and some guy is hitting on her and offering her something and she says she feels like she's in some bad after school special. Or the episode when she's stuck at David's because of a winter storm and his mom calls her a **** like her sister. And David was like I'm sorry. She then says '****' didn't bother her, that is was the 'like your sister' part that hurt the most, lol. I feel more like the early seasons Rosanne character these days.

Although I loved seasons 1 through 4 the best, some of the later episodes that I thought were pretty funny are: when Roseanne, Dan and Jackie got high smoking pot, when they did their spoof on Gilligan's Island and when Roseanne's mom Bev broke her pelvis. lol

My favorite Roseanne line is as follows: One character said, "we are screwed," and Roseanne said, "we are so far beyond screwed, that the light from "screwed" would take 10000 years to reach us." I also remember how innovative it was, with the funny little clips at the end such as bloopers, and even snippets of the Spanish overdubs.

Another later episode scene I thought was hilarious is when DJ has a date with that obnoxious, dominating girl and she looks at DJ, Dan and David and says something like "Who gets drunk and cuts this family's hair". lol
