You know this thread should be sent to all the women to see how the men are really choosing the regular woman over the fancy woman. I know I am shocked... I bet a lot of women would be too. Course, I'm guessing most are men here.. but still, most all choosing MaryAnn! Hurrah for the girl next door!

"Gilligan's Island" was on the air about half a decade too early for its own good. Just a few years later, and there might easily have been a Mary Ann spinoff show!

Ginger would have been less the ditz and more the one who learned a bit, Mary Ann would be the STAR and the Howels would be in the Ginger camp. The Professor would be their tech guy. Everyone today has to have a tech guy.

Gilligan and the Skipper would be Gilligan and the Skipper.

Me? Mary Ann certainly, but I'd want the Professor around, and Gilligan. She's practical, he sees beyond and Gilligan does the boring stuff and keeps up the spirits. The rest got voted off the island before the game ended prematurily.

Not sure I'd want to live on an island.

Ever notice how the Skipper used to smile and call Gilligan "Little Buddy" and the girls slept away from the men? For that matter, ever notice the relationship Tom Hanks had with his ball? Ever read about the life on Pitcairn after the mutiny on the Bounty? All of these make the Howells seem normal.
