Is anybody else not enjoying season 10? Mrs Mccarthy was a character alongside Bundy that I really enjoyed. I just don't like either of the 2 women who replaced them. I hate to give up on the series - but it doesn't have any chemistry for me anymore. Can't stand the "housekeeper" with the goofy smile constantly on her face either.

I don't miss Bunty but not having Mrs. McCarthy is a real loss. Glad to see Lady Felicia but somehow she seems incomplete without Sid.
I watched an episode last night when Father Brown was interviewing for Mrs. Mcarthy's position, I was surprised. I didn't know anything about it so went googling and see also Bunty is gone as well as Insp Mallory, whom I really liked. So, it is weird. I will watch again to see how it plays out.
The series as a whole is well past its sell-by date. We haven't watched it for a couple of seasons now.
We enjoy the plots and the mystery - this season that was good but just can't stomach those 2 women that took over for Mrs. McCarthy and Bundy. They both just add nothing and irritate the hell out of me. The inspector is also really starting to grate on me - a serious guy who hates the Parish Priest. And it makes me nauseous the man starved blonde women and him are flirting - there is no chemistry whatsoever and I wish they would just fire the casting director and start all over. Or at least - bring back the old crew. Even the wonderful thief can't save this train wreck. And it is a shame because the writers are doing their job well.

As I understand, "Mrs. McCarthy" quit the series. I don't seem to be able to find out why. Her age? She is, I think, 74.
I'm growing to like Brenda. Bunty wasn't all that great a character.
Mrs. McCarthy is hard to replace. I'm not warming to the replacement and I am offended by the on-going joke that middle aged women might be horny and like to date and have a partner and how that is funny because it is so ridiculous. Although to be fair, that is not the fault of the actress; that is the writers.
I have to admit that I am liking Mrs. McCarthy's replacement. To be honest, it seemed as if Mrs. McCarthy was getting grupier and grumpier. Time for a change.

And I am so glad to be rid of Jack Deam!
hahaha, I really liked him!
