Mr. Smith. I was a kid when that came out and knew even then that it was pretty bad. A genius ape that advises the President....

Oh I see, you wanted the kids to speak SLANG and the Mom to be sassy and the father to be ANGRY

Who remembers " The Hudson Brothers?" I thought it was a cult classic. I never liked " Gimme A Break" or " One Day At A Time"
I remember when "Happy Days" almost crashed and burned just after Donny Most and Ron Howard left the series. It got better after they added Ted McGinley but was still pretty weak. Also "Arche Bunkers Place" was bad. Laverne without Shirley was pretty bad, especially after Lenny left.

It's wierd, I grew up watching Fresh Prince, Family Matters, but now I cringe seeing both.
Didn't like the whole 80's look either, the big hair and flashy clothes which probably made me cringe even more.

I still love Married with Children, it is one of the few shows that got better with age. The character of Al Bundy branched out to his own persona, where in the beginning it felt he was trying hard to be the next Archie Bunker.

Hated MASH, but like another poster said, I was too young to get the whole thing at the time.

A lot of the other sitcoms people mentioned, I agree. I also hate when the sitcoms add the younger kids, and make them sassy like I am supposed to find that amusing.

Someone mentioned Benson...I actually liked Benson...saw it in reruns.
