Do you ever wonder about these so-called, "man caves"? Is it really just about having a private place to watch porn?

that is really funny, I never though about that.

but the problem i do have with the so called "man cave", to me that tells me that the man of the house wants to be alone and away from his family.

Well, I am the father of 3 boys and worked all day, so when I came home, the last thing I wanted to do was be away from my family.....alone in a man cave- don;t think so

NO, if that is what you want then you need to be not be married with children.

Imagine (back in the day) when company came, they used the SAME BATHROOM AS YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!! Oh, the humanity!!!!!

My DH and I just crack up at these couples. One couple turned down a house because there was a (one) tree in the back, and they'd have to rake leaves.
Boy howdy, real life is gonna smack these sweeties upside the head!!

I always laugh when they see a bathroom right off the kitchen and they are like, "EWWWWWW".

You have to remember that the buyers are either under contract or already live in their new house, so thsy need reasons to "turn down" the other houses. But I agree, ridiculous. There are also a lot of bad edits where their sentences will stop abrubtly so you know they cut off part of what they say.

I'm with you all about the entertaining thing. We have friends and family over where the men will be having drinks and playing cards at the table, women with wine and music in the living room by the fireplace, separated by a staircase. Bedrooms upstairs away from the noise. Open floor plan, no thank you.

But, do you remember the chick that didnt like the laundry room next to the kitchen because of dirty clothes near the kitchen? She was absolutily horrified by that.

I must be a real slob then, because I have the portable washer "IN" the kitchen, oh Lordy me, let the powers that be !!!

it is convenient for me though

It might have been PV, but I am not sure as i watch them all....

Hey, from one Nyer to another, it's quite a luxury to even have your own washer. However, those House Hunter folks would be appauled unless your washer was stainless steel, had a granite slab on top of it and ran on gas,not electric They might also overlook it if it was surrounded by dark wood cabinets, because we know how they hate light wood.

And what about those people who need a separate music room, because they occasionally play the guitar or the women who need craft rooms, because they occasionally sew...Oh, and don't get me started on those who have a neighbor a mile away.."Oh no, they are sooooo close" or those who freak out because their bedroom faces a quiet street, but it's still a street. Or those who pout because there is a luxurious inground pool with a water feature and vacation like setting, "Oh no! Skimming the pool will take 7 minutes out of each day!!!!" That one really pisses me off. I yell at the screen, " I'll take the pool, you moronic ingrate!"
