another "pet peeve" of mine regarding this show: the double sink thing. is it really that necessary? esp. in a home w/ more than one bathroom? hubby can't brush is teeth while wifey is getting dressed? wifey can't do her makeup at the sink while hubby is eating breakfast? someone can't use the sink at the other bathroom? granted, I'm not married, but how often do married couples find themselves in the bathroom at the exact same time and both needing to use a sink? I've seen couple whine and pout when an otherwise nice bathroom doesn't have the oh-so-coveted double sinks
The double sinks. That bothers me to no end. Can't you go somewhere else to put makeup on? I'm sure there are many other mirrors in the house. If it's really that important, can't the husband brush his teeth either in the other bathroom or the kitchen sink? Really? My husband and I have no problem sharing a bathroom with one sink. We have only one bathroom, too, and it isn't a problem.

With the closets, have they heard of a dresser? My dad brought up a good point. Sure, back in the day people had fewer clothes. However, people also used to have a dresser. The closet didn't have to be huge because they used both.

OMG we watched a HH Intl last night with this couple and their 20 yr old son from Canada that were looking to buy a vacation home in the Dominican Republic. Anyone else see it?

Good lord they were annoying. The husband reminded me of Goofy from Mickey Mouse.

I liked them! It is nice to see non-stuck-up, good-natured people on that show who have something more original to say.

So funny...I was actually saying that out loud to my wife while we watched it.

ok ok ... I'll jump in on the double sink thing. I need double sinks. I guess, for me, I like having my own sink where I can put my stuff (don't wear makeup, so that's not the issue). My husband feels the same way I do ... we just like having space for our own stuff. Our first 2 apartments had single sinks and it drove us both nuts. When we built our first house, that was on our "no compromising" list.

I have a big dresser and a walk-in closet too ... I like being able to ponder my clothes choices by standing in front of them ...

But I could care less about man caves, stainless steel appliances, natural light, granite countertops ...

Ha ha ha...we not only have different sinks, our master has different COUNTERS/vanities...(and mirrors because they are on different walls).

The couple last night in Boston were interesting.
They wanted to live in the city but not see any neighbors.

I agree. They were a trip. then settled for a house that needed a kitchen and bathroom gut job.

aww, wished I'd seen that epi. I like the Boston/MA based episodes, esp. when people come in w/ silly demands ("I want a fully updated, 4K square foot detached single family home in the best school area and an hour tops commute to Boston for $200,000!")
