Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb (television, nbc, friends, airing)

Is anyone else really annoyed by their hour on the Today show?? It's ALL about them and Kathie Lee seems to be ALL about herself. It's so different from the other hours and I really, really am not liking it! Do you? How long do you think it will last?

I thought I answered this already. weird.

I like both of them, but not together. Apart from Kathy, Hoda acts normal. When she's w/ Kathy, she tries WAAAY too hard to make it look like they have such great chemistry. It's annoying. I actually like Kathy Lee. I think she's rather funny.

i agree w/ you though. hoda is okay by herself and kathie lee is well, kathie lee - together, it's a little weird. hoda is a little too newsy and kathi lee is a little more viewish and together it's a weird combo. i think it's the trying so hard that annoys me - and that they only talk about themselves a lot and sometimes kathie lee is rude.

LOL, I think Kathy Lee just has way too much to say and has to interrupt to finish her thoughts.

During the Hoda and Kathie Lee portion of the show, I feel like I'm sitting at the next table, eavesdropping on two girlfriends having a chat-it-up at lunch. Since I don't do the whole girlfriends-at-lunch thing, it all feels sort of awkward for me, especially when Kathie Lee outed Hoda (on national TV no less!) regarding her recent marital woes. I also found the "Hoda-woman" nickname grating. Are these two really as close as they try to make it seem? Or is it an act for the show?

I've never been a fan of Kathie Lee. Nothing against her personally, since I don't know her. I just don't like the persona she displays for television. A bit too Kathie-centric for my taste.

On the contrary, I like Hoda and always have. But this pairing seems like a (dare I say it) demotion for her. I hope NBC reconsiders this decision.

i completely agree - she is WAY too full of herself. i just wonder where she gets off acting like she does and how someone hasn't knocked her off her pedestal yet. i think secretly she must have issues and she's playing them off by acting like she does. i can't figure it out but i think she's pretty immature (coming from a 24 year old here).

hoda seems nice and genuine and at MANY times completely uncomfortable w/ the pairing. hoda is much more professional and i think she felt like she probably had to take this offer or do nothing on the today show. i feel bad for her having to sit beside kathie lee.

i don't like her - and something against her personally!! hahaha, just kidding.

If they send her paking I hope Meredith Viera goes with her. Merideth is the worst interviewer of the group.

i agree - i wish campbell was there again and i like natalie too.

i DON'T like ann curry either. i have never liked her. she's kind of harsh when interviewing as well and just makes me nervous when i watch her.
