That's been the main "choice" all along--AJ or Ava. Which means it's likely neither. A good solution (that would keep both of the show's contract actors from being written out) would be Carlos having killed her on Julian's orders. We first saw him shortly after Connie's death, and we were supposed to believe he'd only just arrived, but he could very easily have arrived sooner. Not sure how the "AJ" in blood thing figures in--she would not have known Carlos's name or that he worked for Julian/Derek--but they really can't afford to lose either AJ or Ava.
Another dark horse candidate would be Franco (or whatever he's calling himself this week), since he went missing from the hospital on the night of Connie's death. The only reason I would not expect him to be guilty is because the network has turned the show inside out to keep Roger Howarth on staff, so writing him off over this would be highly unlikely.
Maybe Kelly Sullivan was really bitter about being fired, and she scrawled "AJ" in stage blood to say "Adios, Jerks!"
Sooo...it's beginning to look like AJ might not be Alan Jr, but
Spoiler
Ava Jerome!!!
Didn't we already know that?
You can always tell by the way the scenes run. All a character has to say is something like, "We can't be sure it was you [A.J.]" then lo and behold the next scene happens to be one with...Ava.
Well, sorry--I never caught on to that. It hit me like a huge revelation yesterday while I was taking a bath! Guess I'm a little dense these days.
