The possible end of American Idol? Nothing brought a smile to my day more than this news.

If they're gonna do that, they should just let Paula sit in Simon's lap and get it over with. Those two could grind away and cancel each other out while this new judge can vote all of the contestants out and there'll be no show.
Either way, I guess it's doomed.
HDL? Thoughts? Doest thou lurketh about?

Why hasn't American Idol played out by now? In eight seasons, they've only turned out two major stars. And took four years for the first one to become a star. Everyone else (with one "we'll see" exception) have been one hit wonders hyped up from the show.

When the show started or at least I remember the second season when back then the contestant had personality. They used to have a 4 th judge who worked with the idols that week. I think 4 takes too long to hear what they are going to say. I agree the show is going down and I'm use now to Randy saying Dog and Paula saying nothing and Simon actually telling the truth,

I only watch the very beginning when they are going from state to state to find singers. I like waching the people who think they are great and can sing but really can't! LOL!
