I disagree a little. I thought Paul Kim should have went. I did think the girl had the better voice out of some of the other girls: Antonella better be thanking God that she is pretty because she must have gotten the mens' votes.
But honestly, it really doesn't matter who goes home in which order, as long as it isn't the people who should be in the finale. These people are going to be going home anyway...

My thoughts exactly... but she'll be going home (hopefully) soon enough. I'm really looking forward to hearing the talented girls next week - Melinda and Lakisha in particular - and perhaps the guys will ramp up their game after this!

i agree bigtime. as i said earlier, it's Lakisha's to lose. she could do any number of things to mess up, but let's hope she stays focused, rests her voice as much as they will allow (which was tamara gray's problem - i think that was her name - one of my favorites from an earlier season who nailed "a house without a home" and then her voice was just overused during the competition until it nearly bled with hoarseness), and can take the stress.
she KNOWS she has the voice.
another thing, last night i again actually ENJOYED listening to this group sing. that's a rarity for me - i never used to listen to the large group sing at this point. there is usually so many clunkers that it's laughable. but i'm enjoying this selection for some reason.
antonnella, your time is up sister. you were only saved by votefortheworst, as posted earlier. what a weak voice and NO charisma. you can hang on, but you'll not go very far.

My 'idol prediction' would be Sabrina Sloan. I believe she sounds way better than LaKisha does!
You heard it hear first-"Sabrina Sloan wins American Idol"!

That's a good point. Even though only one out of the 24 will win, and really only maybe four or five have a chance at it as is the case every year, I just like the more talented people sticking around at least til the Top 12 just because the increased face time and television exposure will be good for potential future careers. After all, if Jennifer Hudson hadn't made it to the Top 12, perhaps she would have never even been seen as a viable option by producers of Dreamgirls.
At the moment, I'm liking Lakisha and Melinda for the top two, but it's only been one week so I'm sure my opinions will change, but man oh man did those two come roaring out of the starting gate.

I thought the dudes were infinitely better this week than last week, although they're still playing catch-up to the girls.
Sanjaya seems like such a sweet kid with that big mop of hair and high voice and permanent smile, but this is now the second week in a row where I feel like he was by far the worst performer of the night. Somehow though, I don't see him going home. I think he'll have the teen girl vote on lock. There's always at least one person every year who goes much farther in the competition than they should, usually to 4th or 5th place, and I'm thinking Sanjaya might be that one this year. If he makes it through this week after that performance, I think he's a shoo-in for the top six as it shows he can basically do no wrong with his fans.
I actually think the top six are almost locked in place. I think the Chrises, Blake, Sanjaya and Sundance (due to a fanbase from the auditions and his "support" by votefortheworst) have secure spots, and it's the remaining guys jockeying for that last spot, although I think Phil has the inside track.
I really like AJ and I thought for the past two nights that he's been one of the better singers and performers, but I just feel like he's going to get the boot before the top 12.
I still don't get the big deal about "dreamy" Chris. I thought he was GOOD tonight, but not fantastic. I just don't think he's as good of a singer, as the judges seem to think. Ditto for Sundance....well, at least tonight I thought he was overrated, although good as well.
Brandon was a disappointment. I think he has one of the best voices in this competition but he sort of blew it this week by picking a song that has shows no vocal range. He was one of my favorites too but I think that based on the past two nights, he has one of the worst track records, and is probably the only guy who didn't actually improve this week (except for Blake, but that's due more to his being really good last week and "just good" this week).
While I'm hoping Sanjaya and Sundance are booted, I'm thinking it's going to be Brandon, and maybe.....Nick.
Oh, and Paula was remarkably lucid tonight.

Besides Sanjaya, I didn't think anyone SUCKED last night. He did, and did last week, so I am PRAYING that he goes home. Not being mean, but everyone else has more talent here. I even thought Sundance was good, and the Justine Timberlake wannabe.
Based solely on performances last night, I think it should be Sanjaya (again) and i hate to say it, but Brandon. He didn't "wow" me either week, and he was a backup singer for famous stars so I expected more from him.
But, who do I think will be going home...Brandon and Nick.

I think Sanjaya had the worst performance last night.
Attachment 1546
Blake had the best performance of the night.
My guess: Sanjaya will definitely go home ?
The second person..... Brandon or Nicholas Pedro?
Come on boys pick better songs !
I was bored most of the show!

My prediction: Antonella Barba will pose nude for Playboy, causing me to buy a copy for the first time in many years.
