Default What TV commercials most annoy you?

1) AT&T "more bars in more places" Merger commercial ("don't even think about the merger Ned")

2) Some cell phone commercial where there are a bunch of people marching behind a guy and a tuba is playing in the background (can't remember what it's for)

3) GEICO "celebrity interpretation" commercials (and all GEICO commercials or products, for that matter)

GEICO commercials!!! Stupid, inane, annoying, irritating, unfunny...the list goes on!

I also hate when commercials try to target baby-boomers by playing old 60's songs in the background.

My biggest pet-peeve about ALL commercials is the increase in VOLUME when they come on...why does the commercial have to be 100 decibels higher than the show you're watching???

So that when you suddenly wake up from the sudden change in amplification, you realize the show you fell asleep to was such crap that you couldn't even stay awake for it. The volume change is designed to draw attention...don't forget, watching TV puts people's brains in alpha mode. The TV show is to numb your brain into a suggestive mode, and then the comercial comes in to tell you what you can't live without. Here's an article about it:

Your Brain Waves Change When You Watch TV -Low Alpha Waves Can Lead to "Mind Fog" - Associated Content

I second that one!!

The only other one I can think of right now is the Vonage one (aside from the stupid "oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh" in the back ground), it's been the same annoying commercial for 3 years now!! Enough!!!!!

ALL OF THEM.

lol I hate most commercials.. none of them really amuse me. I wish the US were more like the UK and had way less interruptions during shows.
