Life on Mars is my favorite one right now. I used to have more favorites, but the STUPID networks keep cancelling them one after the other.
I got into The Ex-List and they cancelled that too. I already predicted the ending but it would have been nice for them to actually reach the ending before yanking it.
I am really amazed that brain dead sitcoms thrive, but anything imaginative and halfway intelligent gets cancelled before the season is through.

Then we get shows that jumped the shark, they are so off of what they originally started off as, yet they keep them around just to torment us. Some examples: Lost(the worst),Heroes, Prison Break, Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, Desperate Housewives..etc. Prison Break and Ghost Whisperer were two of my old favorites, back before the messed with them too much. I really liked the first season of Lost, then they totally wrecked it. I expect more of the same when it comes back in january.

.

I missed the news that Ex-List was cut...but seeing as I was a big Moonlight fan and ExList took its place, I feel a certain karma in play .
To me the star of ExList (forget her name) was too smart-alecky, and the fact that in the eps I saw, she slept with each old flame she "re-hooked up with" was a bit much. Was she going to have sex with each "new" guy every week? I too suspect (as I'm guessing you do) that she was going to wind up with the most recent ex (the one who shares the pooch), but the seeming pattern of having sex with 30+ guys to get to that realization seemed tawdry (now there's an old-fashioned word) to me.

I was watching Pushing Daisies, though it was eccentric, to say the least...and if I forgot to watch I didn't slit my wrists. So it wasn't necessarily "appointment TV" for me.

Now, I also love Life on Mars...but let's keep it quiet, since apparently our TV tastes are the kiss of death!

Life on Mars didnt get a full season order though. As of right now, they only ordered four new episodes. A full season is 22 episodes. It's not a good sign that it didnt get a full season order. If those four episodes dont get ratings, that show will be gone too.

That's too bad. I really like Pushing Daisies. A little quirky but cute. I hope at least that they "end it" and not just "cut it off"!

Just remember, if they do, he can always touch it, and bring it back to life, as long as he doesnt touch it again, then some other show will die.

I wish the networks would commit to something. I am not saying all of these shows were the greatest but for the past three years it seems like all the networks do is test 10 episodes or less on us and then can a show.

I guess if the ratings aren't there they aren't there, but maybe they can be more selective with the shows they pick up in the first place. By all means, make your advertising dollars but stop putting on a series only to take it away without completion. I hadn't heard this news but I guess I am headed to the DVR to delete the remaining episodes of DSM I was hoping to eventually catch up on. Whats the point in watching them to see what happens now?
