I love The Rifleman too! The boy is so cute and the relationship between he and his father seems real. A good, wholesome show with a lesson now and then.

I agree. I wonder what happened to the boy, Mark. Do you know if he ever played in anything else? God bless.

When the Rifleman played in any fire station I worked in, we all would yell "crow boy." That's because the sound the Rifleman's son Mark made when he called for his dad: "paw paw."
I guess you had to be there for it but it was funny.
Bonanza was a pretty good western. Best western movie: Lonesome Dove.

Bonanza. Little Joe was my first heart-throb.

"Have Gun Will Travel" is a standout from my childhood. My Grandmother had a huge crush on Richard Boone.
"Maverick" was also pretty good, always had a bit of laughter in it. My recollection is that "Maverick" and "Rocky And Bullwinkle" may have been on back to back in the mid-'50s.
"Lonesome Dove" was pretty good, but I liked "Centenniel" which was about 30 part TV movie in '78 or '79. It wasn't entirely a "western" but it mostly was.

Johnny Crawford's (Mark) resume on IMDB: Johnny Crawford (I)
My favorite Western was Briscoe County, Jr. The square jawed goodness of Bruce Campbell cannot be denied!

Oh, my. There were so many...
Favorite is probably 'The Rifleman', followed by 'The Big Valley' and 'Wild, Wild West.'
I have to say that I still watch a lot of them if I come across them on the Western Channel
"Rawhide'
'Wanted Dead or Alive'
'Bat Masterson'
'Have Gun, Will Travel'
'Bonanza'
'High Chaparral'
'Gunsmoke'
I also liked 'Lancer' - anyone else remember that one?
