I was "in love" with Illya too, esselcue. I was 11 years old. (1964) This series has finally made me think of David McCallum as someone else other than Illya. Now he's Ducky to me with Illya in the background. Take THAT Napolean Solo!

OK......wowow, McGee is really changing, growing up right before our very eyes!!!!! I like this new McGee for sure......and
it makes me wonder if we are about to be introduced to a new provie?
Did you guys see the preview for next week???? Ducky takes center stage. That is one thing I like about this series, all the characters are needed and all play an important role with each episode, even though one may be more prominant than another...

Oh my gosh, isn't that the truth. It took me a few episodes before it sunk in that Ducky was my beloved Illya Kuryakin from "Uncle". Although I do like his character. I love when shows have good story lines along with a great ensemble cast that works together. This is one of the finest ones on TV IMO.

What a good show last night! I knew that convict was going to take the rap for the guard's murder when McGee saw them both in that room. I wonder if that would ever happen IRL? WTH, what's one or two more life sentences on top of life? Maybe not realistic but I liked the premise that there can be good in found in "most" people. I also liked the black woman who was horrified at her crime and the little message of what drugs will do to a life. I thought that had to have been the best episode yet.
McGeek growing up! Yeah, I liked his attitude at the end of the show! Like Tony said, very sexy!
Yes, looked like a very interesting preview of next week's show.
Moonlady, it took you more than a second to recognize Illya? OM gosh! LOL I'm so used to looking at Ducky now, I can't remember what David looked like in his youth. IMO he certainly has aged well. When I was a young girl and looks meant everything to me, I could never understand how David's wife, Jill Ireland, could leave such a handsome man for Charles Bronson! Now when I watch old Bronson movies, I don't think Charles was that bad anymore. heck, I didn't think Sean Connery was good looking until he got old!

Last night's episode was a good one. The characters grow. Like I said before, it's all about the characters and the relationships, and now it's about how they change.

Do you think Ducky might be leaving NCIS? Looked to me like he may have had a meltdown in the last scene. Walking around the morgue like he was looking at it for the last time? I really have no clue as to where last night is going. How could Ducky go back to being "himself" as if nothing ever happened? Is he going to retire? Would Jordan take his place? So many questions! I can't wait to see what is going to happen.
What about that "freebie" Gibbs got about the Director? Guess we can go back to thinking of Vance as a "bad guy"?? I was begining to warm up to him too! This should be interesting.

I am in total agreement! Last nights show left us with a lot of questions.
Another thing that struck me as odd was the scene where Ducky was at home with Jordon and she was looking all funny, and another where she had a funny look on her face in the morgue. It led me to believe that somehow she might be connected to either the woman who stabbed Ducky or the guy who did the torturing.
I just can't see Ducky leaving the show....it would not be the same without him, the chemistry with his stories is just too great.
With the Vance thing, that was my first thought as well...then it occurred to me that it also just might be insurance if Gibbs ever needed something that otherwise the director would say no to.....
I do think that they need to expand a small bit on Jimmy's character, he has had enough time to grow a bit, but it is like they give him two steps forward and one step backward!

I noticed those looks, too, aiangel_writer but forgot to mention them. I wonder if she is the daughter of the guy who can't feel pain? I agree, it sure wouldn't be the same without Ducky. I had to LOL with Jimmy trying to act like Dr. Mallard and talk to the dead. I bet all coroners do it to some degree. I also agree it would be nice to see Jimmy's character grow some. I liked when Abby said she has to control her emotions when they get hurt or she'd end up in the funny farm. That was a hoot when Ducky was going under the morphine.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. It's been a favorite of mine from the beginning. I was devastated when they killed off Kate (but noone is REALLY dead in TV land are they?). Ziva took a long time to grow on me. She does have a certain snappish wit that is very appealing. She puts Tony in his place with some real zingers.
I don't much care for this new director, but what do you do???
Keep Ducky, Abby and Jimmy. They add the quirkyness the show needs to not become too heavy and dark.
