The history channel did have a interesting show about the top 7 threats to humanity, Black Hole, Gamma Ray, Asteroid, Etc..

I dont buy the whole Nostradamus thing because it always seems his predictions are discovered after the fact never before it happens. The stuff they do predict seem to be reaching and spinning words to fit their argument. They had one where lightning will strike a barn and kill the animals or something and they said that was they Financial meltdown of 2008. I mean come on.

I watched it and rather enjoyed the program...I like those types of shows. I don't know how much of it I believe but it kinda makes you think.

I watched the series. It reminded me of all the doom and gloom that was supposed to happen at midnight on December 31, 1999 and all of the Y2K hype.

I love how a thread regarding the possible end of the world and the deaths of billions of people is in the 'Entertainment' section of the forum. In the words of Bill Hicks: "It's a hoot."

i think the myans were just going to set there clocks the same with the egyptians those old civilizations revolved around astrology. when your clock stops you reset it. 2012 would have been the best time to reset their clocks. the stars and heavens were everything to those old civilizations but they all died out probbaly from war drought famin etc. all of the modern civilazations should look at that as a [big red flag] cause we are heading down the same path! " or as i would say" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------we are paving our own path to annihilation
