I watched a promo for Lie to Me the other day, and it looked good. Does anyone plan on checking out the pilot in a few weeks?

Very intrigued by the idea of Tim Roth on TV. I hope the material is up to his talents.

I plan to. I like the premise and Tim Roth. I just hope it doesn't get to predictable or boring.

I, too, liked this drama - a good lead in to Damages on another channel. Salon describes Lie to Me as "a plucky cross between "House" and "The Mentalist," but with a little less angst than the former and a little more flair and witty dialogue than the latter..."
I don't watch the Mentalist, but Gregory House is one of my favorite characters.

Yeah he gives me a definite House feel but something doesn't click with the team they put together and they over act the 'tells' making it all look wrong. Going to give it a few more episodes but don't have very high hopes of it coming together for me in that time.

Well, thanks to the American Idol lead-in, Lie to Me beat Lost in the 9:00-9:30 PST/EST period.

I thought the pilot was good, and will check it out next Wednesday.

I will watch Tim Roth paint bricks. Anything he does is gold with me.

That said - Kelli Williams (Jillian?) was a little too perky for my taste (same problem I had with her from The Practice) but if she dials it down a notch, I think I can handle it.

I hope they don't go overboard with the obvious "tells". They had a few new insights regarding facial reading to determine truth, but most of them were well-known and unnecessary IMO.

All in all, regarding the premier: Loved It!
