I hope she stays on because she's always going for a different, really hot, look each week. I've never seen such a pretty girl singing even remotely well. She's good to listen to when she's subtle and subdued as a singer, but she really needs to learn how to move.
HOW DOES SUCH A PRETTY GIRL NOT KNOW HOW TO DANCE? You'd think she'd have a lot of experience dancing being so gorgeous...

I "saw" him for the first time last night. He used to fade into background, for me, before. He's up there in the best 3-4, for me now.

Leftydan, I can tell you spent time staring at her boobs, too. Of course, I'm a heterosexual female, so I don't know what my excuse was. But could...not...look...away... (Come in, Berlin!)
I hate how she just sort of bounces and stomps her feet and shrugs her shoulders. It's weird. I think it's probably natural for her, but at the same time, the judges have commented approvingly on her quirkiness, and so now it's just like quirkiness overdrive.

It was cool in a creepy, insinuating, mesmerizing kind of way. When the song was over, and I was sitting there sort of shellshocked, I started clapping. Not this fast applause clap, but more of a "Oh...wow...holy...effing...crap!" kind of clap.
The guy has big giant brass ones. I think part of the reason I enjoyed it so much was because he simply did it. He committed himself to it, he went there. He didn't try to sing "country." He sang a classic contry song in a style that suited him to perfection, and I lapped up every awesome note. (And seriously...incredible vocals.) I didn't think it was indulgent, as Simon said -- or rather, yeah, it was, but that was why is was so awesome. Adam Lambert is not Pop. There's nothing particularly mainstream about him -- anyone with eyes in their head can see that. He's gender-bender twisty, theatrical, seductive, indie. I keep thinking of David Bowie and Freddy Mercury.
It was awesome. (And now that I've watched a few You Tube clips of it, I like it even more. I'm telling you: snake-charmer.)

This is a great way to put this....at 1st I'm like...stop it stop it stop it....then it was like...take me to your leader...and I'm not a big indi fan.
Megan is still my fav...she's quirky and fun.

Right?? LOL. When she sings I totally imagine her voice coming through an old time radio while a 1930's housewife is doing dishes in her kitchen. Just an old-time singer's voice. I like it...just dumb songs.

Maybe someone has said this before but she kind of reminds me of Natasha Bettingfield. Her moves on stage are very strange though. At first I thought they were kind of endearing but now that I know they are coming, they make me cringe.
And I like when people change up songs but I thought Ring of Fire was a little overboard. It think it just needed to be toned down a little.

I thought of mesmerized to add to my list last night, came on to do just that and well, you summed it up beautifully!
There has never been anyone like him on the show, and I can't wait to see more, but poor Randy Travis!!!

I don't think they've had the guts to put someone on the show like Adam before. Some people are so afraid of something different because music is supposed to fit in this little tiny mold and never stray.
I continue to be amazed that he isn't a super star already though. And you are right, mesmerized is a great word. I think I may be turning into a groupie!!

At least he was nice though. Was that his wife sitting next to him?...she didn't even clap and boy, did she have a nasty look on her face.
