Please don't pep Jax up, LOL! I think I was one of maybe 5 people on Team Crystal, lol....I mean, if nothing else, she graduated from the University of North Carolina...you HAVE to love the Tar Heels Welcome aboard!
(I really enjoy this TV forum in general...y'all really are some of the most down to earth people on CD. I had a hard time trying to fit in with my local city crowd...they can have their forums...I'm loving y'all!)

ok gang
Sandy was correct to not do squat around camp. She is still the next obvious boot on her tribe. She has been deemed old and useless and needs to only be concerned with herself now. do just enough to get by.
The sickly girl built that shelter? ok
for a bunch of people that have all watched every episode of survivor (given to them by the producers before hand) they spent a hell of a lot of time building a shelter that half of them will not benefit from. Did they not watch them?
Being that close to the water will not hurt the team that did not take water. But not having food will hurt. I wonder if they will get fishing gear next reward challenge?

Guess what ya all????? Last season my DD had volleyball during Survivor now swimming has started last week. We have 3 Thursday meets 2 are at home thankfully and I will be having her excused as soon as her heats are over.
M22 about time you got here! You are redeemed with those recap posts so I reckon we won't send you to the corner for being late. I don't think they should recruit millionaires, models and actors either there are to many folks in the real world doing it the real way trying to make a living that would deserve it more. Bet there are going to be some livid parents seeing their child's principal in some shots. Especially if they are watching it as a family.
IBT see I wasn't naming names and you let the cat out of the bag! You know we were cool we were last year while it was going on too for all you newbies. You know there are shark waters here on C-D right? Even on some other entertainment threads there can be blood brought to the surface. I think we have a safe area here I like hanging out here and with my foodie friends on C-D for sure!
lucky welcome back where ya been we have been talking for a couple of weeks on this thread???
just we are a civil bunch but get some good jabs in at each other. Bottom line we remain civil to each other you will have fun!
Well so far oldest says he hasn't seen enough of the girls to see which one he is pulling for. DD likes the 19 yo and JT~~ all of us agree on JT so far. It is weird hearing DD say "he's hot" instead of "he's cute" this season how did she grow up that quick from last fall?

Sandy could have redeemed herself with the tribe if she had done a little something around the camp though. Yes she needs to look out for herself but to stay in this game you have to be social and get along with others too.
My kids questioned the same thing about Sierra building that shelter all by herself while sick.
But what if they didn't have a water source close by they would have been doomed right off the bat without it. Plus I would rather have the clean jugged water over the lake water they are going to have to boil. If the red team didn't get fire at tribal how would they boil the water? The low food source is going to be showing up right quick in this heat. Isn't this season the quickest both teams have had fire???? Since they have wild fires over there I bet there are strict rules about the camps attending their campfires.

I dont think Sandy could do anything to redeem herself. typically the older people get dropped early unless they get into an alliance quick. Most likely the alliance in her tribe is already formed. She has no person in her tribe to bond with, male or female.
since the other tribe used all their water fairly quickly, if no water supplies were near, bith tribes would be hurting now. I also think the water would be fairly safe to drink since there is little to no development out there. maybe strain it through a t shirt or something.
the only rule i know of is they cannot collude to share the money. I am sure there are other rules ( cannot go to the camera crews camp for instance), but I doubt there is fire rules. butch burned the camp down in the amazon. Camera men didnt stop it.
why no personal items? I wish they would bring those back.

I disagree w/Sandy not having been able to redeem herself.
Clearly the team wasn't hell bent on getting rid of her or she'd be gone right now instead of Carolina. So they were able to step back, re assess the situation, and decide that they would rather keep Sandy and get rid of Carolina.
But Sandy is going to be next unless she markets herself a little more. I believe that if she can successfully market herself, she has as good a shot as anyone else to stay in it for a little while longer. But after doing nothing at camp, and the little disappearing act she has been pulling, her head WILL be on the chopping block next.
If she can't make herself useful somehow and form some relationships, she doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of staying alive in the game.

Lol! I know, I'm late! What the hell was I doing on Thursday night? I can't remember, but I missed the first 9 minutes of the show and was like, DAMN!, I'll have to wait till tomorrow and watch it online. I was so mad!
((What was I doing?)) I can't even remember now!?!?
I liked the stair challenge, and I like Sandy's approach. But the two with the stick and string at the end just weren't working together. the other couple had much better luck, and that's because they were standing closer together.
I think these contestants are going to be watched more closely. I don't think Survivor has ever been done somewhere so hot. I mean 120 degrees is HOT.
You are prob. right about the fire Jaxon, I am sure they will be watching, although there may not be "rules" for the tribes but I bet they have someone keeping an eye out when the tribe is not there. Can you imagine Survivor lighting up a major forest fire?

If Sandy wasn't so ? maybe her work ethic could save her... maybe. There have been past older folks that did their fair share of the work like Rudy, Yo man, Bob but the younger ones tend to forget what they might lack in physical strenght they have more life experiences. Can't say knowledge because some are a knife short in the knife block it appears.
I was talking about the country's rule on the campfires. I read somewhere or maybe it was Jeff on the TV guide special that their government gave them a tough time about using big trucks and cranes to bring supplies in. That is the same place they were talking about all the wild fires they have there.
Did ya all know the whole tribal council area is made with things from whatever country they are filming in? I thought that was nice to support the local artists and suppliers from the Survivor producers.
All I know is I would absolutely hate being sent home in the beginning before I got a chance to play the game a bit.
Anybody with DSL is Ponderosa up and running for this season yet?

She doesn't appear to be bright enough to figure that out! I realize she needs to find that idol but not sticking around the camp and always going off alone is going to back fire on her. Then again maybe she is helping some around the camp but it is getting edited out.

She could be, we'll have to wait and see.
I just can't get over the fact that she didn't even make it appear that she did anything at all while the rest were hiking in.
Hell, I might at least made it look like I collected some of that nicely piled up material.
Something!
