tamiznluv thanks for the links I will check it out.
IBT thanks for the choke when I read the fruit loops. Don't worry I am OK I had a glass of water in my hand to help me recover.
I wonder how much editing does happen to make the viewers sway towards certain players? I think I have read places where all players sign an agreement they will not talk about the production of Survivor even after the season is over. Anybody else know?

only thing I read that went into detail was that on the challenges, they are stopped and started and redone and set-up over and over.
In other words-what we see is not exactly how it went down.
It was stated that this is done for camera angles.lighting and such.
I say that's total BS and we should see everything as it plays out

Couldn't that change the outcome of some challenges?

I say it has to change the outcome. How could it not?
I mean, ok, say they are doing a challenge. camera guy says,"stop, do that over"

I agree with you, DW, it has to change the original outcome but they must splice stuff together to show how it ended the first time? That must be hard on the contestants, don't you think? I sure wouldn't want to have to do "re-takes" of any of the more physically challenging stuff. On the other hand, I think whoever does the editing does a great job because it never occured to me that they did challenges more than once!

It's a reality show, therefore it's reality that cameras are recording the events as they are taking place. You'd think they would realize we aren't so stupid as to believe they can use one camera to show a contestant climbing over a rope wall while using the same camera to record another contestant falling off a balance beam at the same time. So what difference does it make if we see other cameras while the challenges are taking place?
After all, look at Big Brother. Cameras all over the place recording the same thing from different angles, and we can clearly see some of those cameras. Then again, maybe that's part of the essence of what is the show....being on camera all the time, so they show the cameras for dramatic affect. Still......
